The cultural heritage is a non-renewable resource of great significance which needs to be protected and cared for. Since its establishment in 2002, the Cultural Heritage Act established the Superintendence of Cultural Heritage functions as the national regulating body entrusted with the protection of the cultural heritage. The Superintendence of Cultural Heritage runs a program of surveillance and investigations. This program is conducted during any approved development which might cause damage or have impact on cultural heritage.
